History

Shortly after the first world war ended, Mr George Caroline Arnouts arrived in England with other Belgian refugees. He married an English nurse, Miss Muriel Fernley and together, the two of them opened a little shop selling clothing and footwear in Didsbury, Manchester 1929.

Shoes, quickly became the focus of the business and Arnouts became synonymous with properly fitted footwear and excellent service.

Now, four generations later, Mr Arnouts' great grandson Daniel and his wife Zung continue the family tradition.

Arnouts Bramhall specialises in the high quality German footwear brand Gabor and also stocks a wide range of Rieker, Waldlaufer and Skechers shoes, boots, sandals and trainers.

Our ultra modern shop in Bramhall carries one of the largest ranges of Gabor shoes in any single UK store.

Some of our older customers (who are grandparents themselves) still remember being served by George when they were small children and although the original shop exists only in old photographs, the tradition of excellent customer service and high quality fitted shoes remains unchanged.

Welcome to Arnouts.
